M50 Ontos Anti-Tank Vehicle

Handcrafted from solid mahogany, the Ontos, officially the Rifle, Multiple 106 mm, Self-propelled, M50, was a U.S. light armored tracked anti-tank vehicle developed in the 1950s. It mounted six 106 mm manually loaded M40 recoilless rifles as its main armament, which could be fired in rapid succession against single targets to guarantee a kill. Three coats of polyurethane finish adds high gloss and rich wood grain depth.

This was purchased for my dad that served in Vietnam in the Marine Corps. He has wanted to find an Ontos for quite awhile and was unable to. When it arrived I was so surprised at how beautiful the wood looked and all the details that were perfect. When my son and I gave it to my dad, he was so happy and surprised he got teary eyed. Absolutely the perfect gift for Christmas!!
